[daily dosis] Kjell Nordbø Tribute #1
Ten years have passed since Kjell Nordbø aka Bluez Muz' passed away under tragic circumstances.
I only learned about his music many years after his death. Nontheless, I consider him to be one of the best, most original C64 music composers of all time. If you want to find out more about Kjell Nordbø, please go and read the obituary on chipflip.
On this occasion, Ancient Wonderworld will comemmorate his legacy with a special, week-long edition of Daily Dosis, featuring Kjell's music recorded from an R5 8580 SID.
All the recordings were provided by the 6581-8580 project.
Let's start with "Sunrise", a track from Kjell's final musicdisk, "Larger Than Life".

Daily Dosis: Zillion (OST) Title Music by Tokuhiko Uwabo, Yoshiaki Kiuchi, Shingo Kobayashi, and Jun Irie
It's time for a new DD special. This week, we take a look (or rather listen) at the SEGA Master System.
As we all know, music certainly wasn't one of the strong points of the SMS, and the Texas Instruments SN76489 used by the console counts arguably as one of the worst soundchips ever made. However, if you can look beyond the the almost complete absence of bass, there were actually some pretty killer soundtracks available on the machine back in the days.
So, without further ado, here's the Daily Dosis' SMS Special.

Daily Dosis: Rusty OST - Tower of Destiny by Masahiro Kajihara, Kenichi Arakawa, and Ryu Takami
Gawd, that cover art. What were they thinking. And it doesn't stop there. This game... it's basically Castlevania with tits. Whaddyknow. The music kicks ass though. Or should I say, whips ass...
And yes, I know this is fairly common stuff for Japanese titles, especially PC-98 games, except usually the characters are made to look even more underage. Doesn't make things any better.
