The folks from Cymba have been working really hard to create their own unique flavour of chipmusic that doesn't sound anything like chipmusic at all. Dark, evil, slightly acidic techno running off 4 Gameboy Advance. OBOLE II is one 12-inch vinyl that shouldn't be missing in your collection, if you ask me.

Lofi Techno Jam #1 by Pulselooper

Here we have Pulselooper looping some pulses again... this time, he squeezes out an awesome 26 minute dark techno live set made with a GBA SP running Nanoloop 2.7, and a Teenage Engineering PO-12. The perfect sum... oh wait, it's winter in Brazil right now.

It's been rather silent around this guy for a long time (at least nothing appeared on my radar). But here he is: Pablito el drito with a new vinyl release! And I'm glad to say his music is as good as ever. Not sure what this is made with, I assume there was at least some Nanolooping involved.

The label seems to be rather elusive and doesn't have a proper website as far as I can tell, so I guess in order to get this release, you'll have to mail them at info@vpsrecords.com.

Just a short note to let you know that the Furious Advance Tracker project for Gameboy Advance is in development again, and a new beta is out. Still quite a few things missing, and the range of supported flash carts is rather limited as of now, but nevertheless I'm sure people will appreciate that stuff is happening again.

After a long pause, fluidvolt has published his new album on Ubiktune. As was to be expected from the master of intricate relaxation, it's a bag full of heartwarmingly weird, beautfully jazzy wonders.

All sounds stem from the GBA game "Mother 3". The 300+ instruments soundfont is available for download as well.

Today's featured release brings us into calmer, yet no less dark and beautiful realms. In other words: New Pulselooper album, yay! Sinapse is his 10th release, composed over the course of two years on Gameboy Advance.

I believe this is the perfect soundtrack for a misty Autumn evening (even though it's summer in Brazil right now).

Up Rough City: A GBA Demo by up rough

Sweet, a prod for the Gameboy Advance. You don't see that every day... The demo could have been longer imo, but damn! what a slick design. Nice slow music by syphus, too.

This came in first place in the Console compo at this year's Datastorm. Which is funny because it seems up rough also took the second place in said compo.
